In 2005, Chevrolet debuted its ’49 Suburban-inspired Chevrolet HHR, a sleek, five-door station wagon featuring front-wheel drive and five-passenger seating. Designed by Brian Nesbitt, Chevrolet produced a car that sports versatility in structure and functionality in seating. The Chevrolet HHR’s rear seat split-folds, and the front passenger seat folds flat, allowing you to more efficiently utilize the ample space available inside without completely sacrificing seating accommodations.

The "HHR" stands for "Heritage High Roof" and refers to the style of the cars design that was inspired by 1949s Suburban. The retro styling with this vehicle is limited largely to the cabin in this vehicle, allowing ample space for its passengers, while the rest of the vehicles design might appeal more to a driver with more progressive taste.

The first HHR model originally debuted in 2005. Though, there are several other models in the HHR series that came out, in the following years. Beginning with the 2006 Chevrolet HHR, Chevrolet developed and produced a new model in the series, each subsequent year, until 2011. Before the end of 2010, Chevrolet announced the discontinuation of the HHR series. The last models available through dealerships went out in January and February of 2011.

The first Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster), not to be mistaken for the SS (Super Sport) to hit the scene retailed at about $41,995. This car was a mix between a pick-up truck and a roadster. It had fancy SS trim and sported large, protruding fenders, and huge wheels. The buzz surrounding this vehicle was more than notable. Chevrolet developed a number of upgrades for the SSR car, including a 90 hp boost.

Keep in mind that the Chevrolet HHR is a manual series with optional automatic control. If you have an automatic HHR, you should also have a remote starter that comes standard. This will allow you to start your car on a very hot or cold day from the comfort of your home, helping you avoid scorching or freezing car seats.

All engine types for the Chevrolet HHR car series will take roughly 5 quarts of oil (4.97 to be more exact). The oil should be changed out every twelve months. Chevrolet recommends using a synthetic motor oil with this vehicle as it is more beneficial for higher mileage engines.
