The differential on a Nissan Murano SUV assists the vehicle in making turns. It makes sure that the outer drive-wheel involved in the turn is rotating faster than the inner drive-wheel so that the car turns properly. A Nissan Murano SUV differential is designed to do three things.

1. It serves as a mechanism where the power generated by the engine is transferred to the drive (front, back, or both) wheels.

3. It allows the wheels to move at different speeds.

Non-drive wheels move independently of each other and don’t need a differential, but the drive wheels are connected through the drive system and are designed to go at the same speed when driving in a straight line.
