How do throttle bodies work?The throttle body is a part of your Infinitis air intake system. The throttle body works together with an air filter and an air flow sensor to precisely deliver clean air to the engines fuel chamber. The main chamber of the throttle body houses a butterfly valve called a throttle plate. A cord connects the throttle plate to the gas pedal. When the pedal is pushed, the cord turns the throttle valve, allowing air to flow through the throttle body and into the engine.
